These years, there is an increasing enthusiasm for traditional Chinese culture among foreigners. Now I'd like to share with you a memorable experience we had while receiving an Australian student visiting group.
On Monday morning last week, when Australian friends approached our school gate, we were lining up greeting them with a big round of applause. Among all the arrangements, the calligraphy class aroused their interest greatly. Our teacher impressed them with his excellent skill in writing Chinese characters “Beijing”. Encouraged by us, one of Australian students applied what he had observed to practice.
Before their departure, we took a group picture in memory of this rewarding activity. Pleased and proud, we contributed our share to carrying forward our fine traditional culture.
