The syntax for calling a function in another module by specifying the module name followed by a dot (period) and the function name.

The global namespace for a module is created when the module definition is read in; normally, module namespaces also last until the interpreter quits.
A module name or location change is conceptually similar to a class name change but must be handled quite differently.
